Having left la Tour d’Auvergne towards Besse, you cross a stream called La Fayette, then turn right at the Taquet bridge.
Below the little road, on the right, flows the Burande. Soon you’ll be looking over the Sainte-Elisabeth waterfall. In four jumps one after the other, separated by little pools, the water reaches a height of more than 15 m. At the foot of the waterfall the water has carved out a wide, circular pool in the granite. This is a managed location with a picnic area.
Take the RD 203 at the Tour d’Auvergne exit towards Besse, then turn right opposite the Chauderie campsite.
