1/ Near Lake Chambon, you will leave Murol, dominated by its feudal castle, to reach the ancient fortified village of Saurier.
2/ After a long climb, where we invite you to stop to observe the Puy du Brionnet with a breathtaking view at the chapel of Mont Brionnet, you will reach the Cézallier plateau.
3/ In Chassagne, a detour can be considered to discover the Cistercian abbey of Mégemont.
4/ Then, you continue towards La Godivelle: a peat bog with rich flora (Lac d'En-Bas) and a superb crater lake (Lac d'En-Haut), perfectly circular.
5/ You will follow Lake Bourdouze before reaching the medieval town of Besse-et-Saint-Anastaise, its Romanesque church, its streets and residences in gray stone and slate roofs.
6/ Arrival at Murol will be via a descent which offers exceptional panoramas.
