A road bike circuit at the foot of Puy-de-Dôme
The Volcans d'Auvergne regional park is full of road cycling routes that will allow you to explore the region at your own pace. Whether you are a seasoned cyclist or a passionate amateur, you will find circuits suitable for all levels. The winding roads will take you through stunning landscapes, where dormant volcanoes and green valleys blend harmoniously.
Among the many circuits available, do not miss to discover the famous Puy-de-Dôme. However, the ascent of the Puy-de-Dôme by road bike is no longer authorized since the commissioning of the panoramic train which climbs to the summit. However, this will not prevent you from admiring this imposing mountain from the surrounding roads.

Perhaps you prefer more rugged trails? THE Auvergne Volcanoes Regional Park also allows you to practice Moutain Bike. The marked paths will allow you to venture into the heart of nature, through forests and volcanic reliefs. This sportier alternative will make you experience strong sensations while admiring the grandiose landscapes that surround you.

Advice and security
- Be careful on the road as it remains open to traffic
- Remain courteous and respectful of the highway code
- Never ride more than 2 abreast on the road
- Provide good equipment: helmet, water, repair kit, safety vest (in case of fog or darkness)
- Check the braking device and the condition of the tires as well as a good adjustment of the bike according to your morphology.
- A small mirror at the end of the handlebar brings a real plus
