The village of Tauves (classified Tourist Commune in 2016), is located on the west-south slope of the Sancy massif, on the edge of the Artense plateau.

Located on the D922 road axis which makes the link with the north of Cantal, the north of Corrèze and the Clermont area. The village is alive thanks to dynamic local businesses and particularly active associations. tauves is composed of a Romanesque church of Our Lady of the Nativity which houses a XNUMXth century altarpiecend century, bells, polychrome capitals.
The commune welcomes via the Rural Crafts shop in the center of the town the know-how of 70 craftsmen from all over Auvergne (wood, glass, flowers, earth, enamelled lava, painted metal, etc.) who, through various demonstration sessions, initiate the audience. This space is also that of the tourist reception office.
