Label "Vineyards and Discoveries"

"Côtes d'Auvergne, Destination Volcanoes": the territory has just been labeled Vignobles et Découvertes by Atout France (March 2022). It is the 12th territory in Auvergne Rhône-Alpes out of the 72 labeled territories in France.
On the slopes of the dormant volcanoes of the Chaîne des Puys – Limagne fault, listed as a UNESCO world heritage site, vines have been cultivated for hundreds of years. It takes root here between basalt, granite and clay-limestone soils, giving life to wines with very characteristic multiple tones.
It is this singularity which led to the choice of the name “Côtes d'Auvergne Destination volcanos”, carrying meaning, connection and human values for a territory which defines itself as a welcoming land around volcanism.
Here nature expeditions, hydrotherapy, generous gastronomy combine, all enhanced by a rich medieval and archaeological heritage.
