Ferme des Cabri'Olby

Our 40 buff alpine goats, curious and horned, graze our flower meadows as soon as the weather permits. With their milk, we make organic farm cheeses: fresh, matured, coated, spreadable, cottage cheese, fromage blanc…
Our farm is located in Olby, in the hamlet of La Gardette, 780 meters above sea level, and 7 km as the crow flies from the Puy de Dôme. We raise our goats in accordance with “organic farming” specifications and respect seasonality, so production is interrupted in January and February. In March the kids are born, and production restarts: our flagship product, the PALETOU, is available for all tastes: fresh, semi-dry, dry or coated with pepper, shallot, country flavors, Italian flavors , with Indian flavors,
or the delicious paprika-onion-pepper mixture.

In the interest of animal welfare and consistency, we choose to raise all our kids on the farm rather than selling them at 8 days old to fatteners who export them to other countries that consume more of their meat. We therefore occasionally offer kid meat, which really deserves to be better known. Soft and tender, goat meat will amaze you.
