Scénomusée Toinette et Julien

An extraordinary journey through time!
Light effects, music, animated objects and special effects immerse you in the daily life of two mountaineers: Toinette and Julien.
Visits by reservation recommended on the website.
Toinette, the XNUMXth century grandmother, whom we would all have liked to have had.
Julien, a modern city dweller, in search of a new life in Sancy.
Both tell you with emotion about their daily life as mountain dwellers.
The Maison de la Toinette and the Grange de Julien take you on an extraordinary journey through time. Thanks to the technology of this Scénomusée®, you dive into a universe made up of light effects, music, animated objects and special effects! Young and old alike can't believe their eyes!
By listening to the stories told by Toinette and Julien, you go through two centuries of Auvergne history.
Toinette confides her secrets to you in the common room of the farm and her still warm cantou, in the stable and its smell of hay. She tells you about the winter breeze in our mountains, the traditional evenings and their flights in patois, family stories. From 1830 to 1912, the one who was a little girl, mother and grandmother in this house, tells you with touching emotion of her joys and her sorrows.
Julien is a young man of our time. He passionately embarked on the restoration of a barn in Murat-le-Quaire. Little by little, his project comes to life before your eyes. The old barn becomes a warm place where Julien meets the inhabitants of the village, who become friends. He then begins to dream of another life in the wide open spaces of the Sancy massif...
