In a few kms this walk concentrates all the landscapes and atmospheres offered by this country: beech forest of shadow and light, pretty bridge, waterfall, mountain pastures, village of La Graille, sculpted fountain, stone bins, cross. Beautiful views of the Sancy massif.
Topo / step by step
1/ Facing the starting sign, go left. At the crossing of the stream turn right. Walk along the pastures and climb into the beech forest, up to the overhang of the waterfall (possibility of going down to the bottom of it: 10 mins drive).
2/ Continue the climb and, as you approach the entrance to a pasture, go down to the left until you leave the woods (view of the Puys chain).
3/ Continue the descent, cross the hamlet of La Graille (Christianized menhir and watering troughs). With your back to the cross, head opposite for the return.
