About

The Parc Animalier d'Auvergne is a zoological reserve for rare and endangered species. Over 45 ha and at an altitude of 750 m, you follow a route of around 4 km which allows you to discover nearly 350 rare and endangered animals from 65 different species

Come and meet snow panthers, red pandas, wolverines, African lions, tigers, takins, Tibetan black bears but also Rothschild's giraffes, Hartmann's zebras and many endangered primates. The Park is located in an exceptional natural site where you can admire many incredible views.

Also take advantage of spectacular enclosures where you can enter among the animals: chamois/ibex, lemurs or Sika deer, and numerous footbridges allowing you to get as close as possible to the animals (red pandas, bears, wolves, giraffes). The Parc Animalier d'Auvergne is very involved in the conservation of endangered species throughout the world but also in Auvergne, and participates in 46 international breeding programs for endangered species.

Located in Ardes sur Couze in the Puy de Dôme, the park is only 45 minutes from Clermont-Ferrand and Besse/St Nectaire/Murol, and 15 minutes from exits 15 and 17 of the A75 near Issoire. The Parc Animalier d'Auvergne has received the TripAdvisor certificate of excellence for the 4th consecutive year. It has also obtained the Quality Tourism label and is starred in the Michelin Auvergne guide as well as Le Petit Futé.
