Activités des Galopins du Sancy – Domaine équestre de Berthaire

Thanks to our calm and experienced horses and ponies, multitudes of equestrian activities to flourish all year round in the unique landscapes of Sancy.

Les Galopins du Sancy offer you different activities:

*At the Berthaire equestrian center:
– Teen courses: a passionate morning with horses. A playful and benevolent approach to discover and perfect your riding in all disciplines (acrobatics, terrain course, etc.). From 10 to 16 years old.
All year by reservation.

– Pony mornings: a morning with the ponies to discover their world. Fun pony activities and pony care are offered for the greatest pleasure of all.
For children from 4 to 10 years old, novice or experienced – (in July & August, activity taking place at Lac Chambon)

– Horseback riding (group or private, for novice or experienced riders)
Several themes proposed: discovery of the region, sporty walk in the heart of the volcanoes.
Unusual themes: sunset walk, goat milking walk.
Walks ranging from 1h30 to half a day depending on the circuit chosen, with a qualified guide. From 10 years old.

– The Galopins tour: after having brushed, styled and decorated their pony, children and parents discover a unique panorama of the landscapes of Sancy. For children from 2 to 10 years old, all year round by reservation (except July/August).

-Group or individual riding lessons: to discover or perfect your riding in all disciplines.

-Equine mediation (brief therapies accompanied by the horse): guided by the horse, its nature and its intuitions, reconnect with oneself for more appeasement, serenity and fulfillment. 50-minute session with the horses, supervised by a qualified practitioner in brief therapies (Ellipsy). By reservation.

-Children stays with accommodation in tents: a week of immersion with ponies and horses. A daily life punctuated by riding sessions, horse care and evening entertainment. A 100% horse-riding holiday! From 8 years old, all levels of riding

-Equestrian gite: reception of itinerant riders and their horses for one or more nights. Rider accommodation in a cottage or tent. Accommodation horses in box or paddock. Possibility to have meals on site (breakfast, lunch and dinner)

*In Chambon sur Lac (Chambon beach side) in July & August:
– Pony mornings

– Lake walks: Child riders and accompanying parents set off with the ponies for a unique family outing, on the shores of Lake Chambon. To vary the pleasures and discover these exceptional landscapes, two circuits are proposed: 20 or 40 minutes. From 2 years old.

*At the medieval town of Besse:
– Walks in Besse: discover the historic town of Besse with your family and pony! A stroll through the old town, mixing fun, history and culture. For children from 2 to 10 years old, from Thursday to Saturday during winter school holidays (Christmas and February) from 15:30 p.m. to 17:45 p.m., departure every 45 minutes
